Brighton & Hove
All children’s services, including schools, in Brighton &
Hove are provided by the Children and Young People’s Trust
(CYPT).
The CYPT is not a separate organisation but has
brought together the council’s former Children, Families and
Schools directorate with South Downs NHS Health Trust’s Children
and Families Services. It works in partnership with other health
services and the city’s community and voluntary sector.
Schools play an important role within the CYPT.
The
School Workforce Development Team co-ordinates the
training and development opportunities offered by the CYPT for
school based support staff. The team also
co-ordinates training and development for newly qualified
teachers and those in leadership & management roles, and
supports schools with the workforce reform and remodelling
agenda.
