HLTA
Status
Higher level teaching assistants (HLTAs) work with
teachers to support teaching, learning and pupil
achievement.
HLTA status provides a recognition that an individual
is operating competently against a set of national standards
defined by the Training and Development Agency for Schools
(TDA).
Achieving HLTA status demonstrates to headteachers,
teachers, governors and parents that you make a positive
contribution to pupils' learning and achievement. It is not a
qualification, nor is it intended to replace existing
qualifications.

standards visit the TDA website at: www.tda.gov.uk/support/hlta
